Well in 2014, one of the craziest and widespread celebrity hack of all time happened. The 4chan Apple iCloud nude photo leak became one of the most talked about news events last year. You might not even know which celebrities was affected, so we’ve got you a list of five high profile celebrities who were affected by the iCloud leaked selfies.
1. Jennifer Lawrence.
The Hunger Games star got hit pretty hard, with over 60 explicit photos of the 24-year-old posted. Obviously, this is just about every guy’s dream, but that’s so not the point. Lawrence was understandably infuriated and felt violated by the hack, and her camp didn’t wait long to take action “This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” a spokesperson for Lawrence said in a statement to Buzzfeed. “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Lawrence.”
2. Kate Upton.
Model and actress Kate Upton didn’t only have her nude selfies hacked, but her pitcher boyfriend at the time, Justin Verlander, was in the photos too. The 22-year old’s attorney released this statement regarding the hack, “This is obviously an outrageous violation of our client Kate Upton’s privacy,” Shire said in the statement released to Us magazine. “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent possible.”
3. Kaley Cuoco.
The Big Bang actress chose to handle her iCloud hacked nude selfies with humor and a good attitude. She opened up to Jimmy Kimmel about the hack “Every day there’s like 30, ‘Kaley Cuoco Nude Photos.’ It’s been going on for years. There are all these fake ones,” the actress admitted. “Then this one came up, and I’m like, ‘Oh, it’s another fake one.’ Then I started getting emails like, ‘No, there’s some real ones going around.’ So I looked at it, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God. There are some real ones!’”
4. Kim Kardashian.
Some of you might be scratching your head because obviously Kim Kardashian has voluntarily posted nudes of herself for the world to see some times. Regardless, Kim was one of the last victims revealed by the iCloud celebrity nude selfies hack. Though she never commented, people seem to think the photos were from before her marriage to Kanye, because she’s not wearing a wedding ring.
5. Victoria Justice.
The former Nickelodeon actress tweeted about the massive celebrity nude iCloud hack. The 21-year-old stated, “Shortly after I tweeted about pics of me being fake, I was faced with a serious violation of privacy. There have always been fake photos of me on the internet, but I will not be put in the position to defend myself as to what is real or what is fake. I am angry at this massive invasion of privacy, and like the other women who are in this situation alongside me, I am taking legal action to protect my rights download.”
